Additionally, we offer doctor offices located nearby for you and your patients to have consultations in a comfortable space.

What’s inside the operating room? Standard equipment is available in our Orlando location, as well as modern C-Arm robotics that assists in minimally-invasive spine surgery. We also have the means to aid in pain management, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and hand surgery.

Scheduling Questions to Ask

Scheduling at AASC is much different than scheduling at a hospital. At our center, we understand physicians have a demanding job, so we make it our goal to provide seamless scheduling. Below are answers to frequent schedule-related questions.

How easy is it to schedule surgery? Extremely. We employ a full-time scheduler whose readily available to take your call and book time for you to perform procedures in our centers.

Can I schedule surgeries back to back? If there is an available operating room, yes.

Can I do surgeries on the weekends or at night? Our centers are open until 5 p.m. If surgery goes past that time, that is fine. We are also open on Saturdays for you and your patients’ convenience.

Can I block off dates I am not available? We understand that block scheduling is one of the most significant benefits to you, as it gives you back some of your time. Therefore, you can call our scheduler to inform them what days or times you are not available to perform surgeries. For example, you let our centers know you’re only able to operate on Tuesday afternoons if that works best for your schedule.

Can I book multiple operating rooms in a single day or week? Yes, if our schedule and yours align, this is a possibility.

Staff Questions to Ask

Physicians who solely perform surgeries in hospitals are used to having trained staff on hand to assist them with their procedures. That’s why you likely have questions surrounding the surgical team that works at AASC. Here are answers to common questions about this subject.

Will I have access to assistants and other staff? Staff is offered to you. This includes everyone from administrative staff to registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), physician assistants (PAs), paramedics, and scrub techs. This not only keeps costs down for you but also allows appointments to run smoothly.

Is the staff trained? They are both trained and certified, which helps put you and your patients at ease.
