Touring AASC: What You Need To Know About The Area

We highly encourage doctors to visit Advanced Ambulatory Surgery Center (AASC) when they can. Our Center's Administration is very flexible to ensure that physicians can be given a tour when it best fits the physician's schedule.

At AASC we hope to impress upon physicians our team's commitment to a positive surgery center experience for both the physician and their patients. The AASC Team wanted to share some important information with doctors so that they could have an understanding of the area before visiting us and our beautiful facility.

Located in Altamonte Springs, Florida, AASC is situated just minutes off of I-4 (Interstate 4), which is known as an artery road of Central Florida. This makes AASC about 15-20 minutes (30-40 minutes if during a rush hour) from Downtown Orlando and around 45-55 minutes from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Essentially, AASC has quite a favorable and centralized location. Whether you have a morning or afternoon block of surgery time slot scheduled, getting here should be a stress-free experience.

Some of our practicing physicians are not from Central Florida and either practice in other parts of the state (from Tampa to Miami) or have medical offices in other states. Many have used AASC's flexible scheduling to make a work and pleasure trip due to AASC's close location to Florida's theme parks: Disney, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and more! AASC is 45 minutes from these world attractions and unique areas such as Point Orlando, International Drive, and several shopping outlets. Often doctors can schedule a Thursday or Friday surgery block and can have the weekend to enjoy the area with their families.

For places to stay, in the Altamonte Springs and Winter Park area, there are many close hotels to choose from. For those extending their time in the Central Florida area, there are beautiful and relaxing boutique hotels such as The Alfond Inn (located in Winter Park) and The Grand Bohemian (located in Orlando) that come highly recommended. And if you're staying nearby, we have compiled a list of the AASC team's favorite dining options. If you have a morning surgery block, you'll be able to enjoy a variety of restaurants for lunch. If you're visiting the center for the first time be sure to check out those establishments.
